My Story

“I don't sing because I'm happy; I'm happy because I sing.” – William James, Philosopher. (1842-1910)

This one short, powerful phrase is my mantra, my passion and my story.

A deep love for performing I trained at Guildford School of Acting and have enjoyed a wide and varying career. I’ve performed in Musicals on the West End, on International Tours, and at festivals in California. I’ve shot commercials for European TV in Israel, Croatia and Amsterdam and worked as a vocalist on some of the worlds most lavish cruise ships. I’m most proud of my time as a session singer at Abbey Road Studios where I worked with Danny Boyle and the team at Underworld recording the soundtrack to the London 2012 Olympics.

I’m now lucky enough to call the South West home after my Wife and I decided to relocate and return to her Cornish Roots.

SouthWestSinger was born out of a love for the golden age of music and a desire to spread joy and happiness to young and old. Big Bands, Swing, Blues, Rat-Pack and Jazz are all my inspiration.  My set includes the timeless classics from the likes of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Bobby Darrin encompassing the golden age of the MGM post war era, as well as some quirky vintage takes on artists such of Bon Jovi, Disney and even Nirvana!

I’m passionate about performance and proud to work with some of the top venues in the region. Planning an event here in the South West? Drop me a line and let’s get to “Puttin on the Ritz”
